Mead artist has the confidence and skills to be creative and reflective in a judgment free environment. We believe that teaching and learning in art and design is important because it stimulates creativity, imagination and inventiveness. It fires the children’s imagination and is a fundamental means of personal expression.
At Mead Primary School, our core aim is to enable creativity. Our offering to pupils is broad and rich, contemporary and diverse, developing pupils’ experience of how they can make a creative response to a variety of stimuli. We aim to develop pupils’ critical and creative thinking skills; to build their knowledge and understanding of materials, techniques, art and artists.
